It looked to be a good holiday season this year in both Dallas County and Tarrant County. DWI”s for this holiday season were considerably lower than last year. Here are the numbers.
The Dallas County Sheriff”s Department released the following numbers on arrests from Dec. 21, 2012 to Jan. 1, 2013, a twelve-day period:
- 25 misdemeanor DWI arrests
- 1 DWI 3rd felony arrest
- 2 DWI with child in vehicle arrests
- 3 DUI minor arrests
All of the police departments have not yet entered their data, but Melody McDonald, the public information officer for the Tarrant County D.A.’s office, says there has been a significant drop from last year.
- 30 arrests in Tarrant County (78 last year)
- 9 arrests in Fort Worth (33 last year)
- Arlington numbers not yet in
